Good resort, very dirty beach - all in all okay

+Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was good and international, with many different themed restaurants. The pool area was very comfortable and beautiful.

−The beach is horrible, very smelly and full of algae. Not the hotel's fault, but beaches in Punta Cana are not too nice, due to the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel is very hard to reach, due to bumpy roads and undeveloped land.

Horrible stay

+The swim up bar only when Nelson or Frank was working.

−We had 3 different rooms. The first 2 were on the 3rd floor. Both ACs did not work and it was 29 and 28.5 Celsius in both rooms which is 83-85 Fahrenheit. I requested a first floor room and the AC worked better it was 24.5 Celsius or 76 Fahrenheit. Every couple we spoke to had issues with their rooms not having AC. When we showered in our 3rd room it ended up flooding the entire room because the shower drain wasn’t working. It took us going to the front desk 5 times, and calling once in the span of 26-27 hours before they came and fixed the drain, which is ridiculous. This was our honeymoon and the resort definitely ruined it a bit.

For a 3 day stay, this resort did its job and I was able to enjoy myself

+The front desk employee Gregory gave exceptional service when it came to any requests I had or any questions. If it was not for him, I probably would not have had enjoyed my time there as much. He went above and beyond! A few of the staff at the bars as well were extremely friendly. I did like how we had access to go to the other parts of the resort and enjoy food at the other restaurants, along with the other pools and beach. With this being a solo trip, I did like that I felt safe at the resort as well.

−I did not like how far it was to get a towel if you were at the pool. To have to walk all the way to the beach for a towel was kind of annoying. On my first full day there, there were no more towels and I went to the towel booth about 3 times within a 3 hour span. The walk there was already too much but to have to keep walking there and there be no towels each time was not good. The next few days I will say there were no issues with the towels. I also did not like that with breakfast we didn't really have much options for the meat such as bacon. I'm not a fan of hot dogs, or salami which was all that was offered for breakfast as a meat.
